This week:

Camp 2 Bryntirion 10-12s
Camp 6 Bryn-y-groes 13-15s

Unlike last year I'm unable to visit some of the camps this year and so I'm relying on reports from those on camp for the prayer letters. Only trouble is I'm on holiday in North Wales with limited mobile phone signal and occasional internet access in a Christian Internet cafe! In short I can give no up to date information on the camps hapeening this week but will endeavour to get reports for you when the camps end. Please continue to pray for the three camps running: for safety, good fun, all campers feeling welcomed, and most of all for spiritual breakthroughs.

Please also be praying for the two camps that start next Saturday.

Camp 2 Bryntirion 10-12s

James Williams leads this camp and Ed Collier is the chaplain.

Ed says:

My talks are going to be on Jonah, and I've based the Bible studies around the 2 ways to live tract. Please ask for prayer that I would be able to explain the wonderful truths of the gospel in ways that the children understand and are gripped by and that of course the Holy Spirit would do that life changing work that only he can do! Please ask for prayer that I would know God's peace as I prepare - I sometimes get tempted to be anxious as I think about the week ahead.

Camp 6 Bryn-y-groes 13-15s

Dave Roberts (pictured) leads this camp and Martin Williams is the chaplain.

Dave's main prayer requests:
- Need to manage with one fewer female officer than planned, meaning one fairly large dorm Bible study group for one of the more experienced officers;
- Need to integrate 4 new team members, one of whom is a first time officer.

Martin writes:
I'll be preaching on some names and titles of Christ every morning - all evangelisitc sermons. Pray that people will be saved and as we look at Jesus he would grow bigger in our hearts and lives.
In the Bible studies we'll be going through 2 Timothy - running the race, finishing the race well. The importance of not just starting well but finishing well also. Hope that they will be an encouragement and a challenge to Christians to persevere in the faith so that they will be able to say from the bottom of their hearts 2 Tim 4:6-8.
On a personal note, please pray for strength for me - got a busy summer with camp and the main addresses at welsh Aber conference.

Thanks for joining us in prayer for this great opportunity to glorify Christ Jesus in many lives.

Paul Gamston, Chairman of English Camps Committee
